What happened to this app

I used to love this app, I still do but the favorites no longer save or sync with iCloud, also the home address does not work either. My favorite thing was that it used to sync with iCloud on all my devices now that is broken.

Im happy with it so far

Really bad update. Change my review from 3 to 1 stars. Save your money dont buy this, toilet least they releasing a new update

Everything is great except the map updates

Bought this app with many of its in-app features that are for sale separately. Back when Navigon owned it, the map updates were free which is why I bought it, now you have to pay 50$ just to update the maps...Im sorry but thats too much just to update locations, roads change and companies move but that isnt worth the price for every update. Otherwise good app.

Great app for day to day

Been using it for a while and sometimes will shut down but overall great piece. No regrets buying vs free stuff.

Widget missing

Great feature but it doesnt show up. Also, sad to see that widgets only let you add addresses and not custom saved routes : (

Awesome

Ive tried almost every gps navigation software there is for iOS. This was one of them I bought way back . Didnt like it Compared to other software. Now that Garmin Viago is discontinued, sygic has messed up their great program and Igo primo, has not fixed any of the reported issues, I decided to try navigon again. So far its been great and with todays update its even better. The only thing I would like is for text on map and screens to be larger so it would be easier to quick glance while driving. Sygic and Igo primo both have nice large text (but programs dont always function properly). One other thing is it doesnt always speak exit numbers which are important. The exit number on screen is very small to look at when driving.

App crashes and no traffic updates

This app used to be great but now it frequently crashes during trips and it does not receive any traffic updates anymore (even though I paid extra for that feature). Try a different app!

Best by far for your 

This is better than my stand alone Tom Tom unit which I thought was the best. I like the google search feature so much.  ------------------ 1 line address perfects this app.

From 5 star to 1.

All favorites were gone! It starts with map manager every time I open it. Edited:07/31/2015. Issue still not resolved.

ios 9 Crashing

If you want to use this app, wait uploading to ios 9!! Needs update.

BIG APP FEATURE FAIL.

App crashes when attempting to access contacts for temporary location sharing. iOS 9 update please.

Crashes / blue screen of death

Navigon has been crashing my entire iphone first to a blue screen and then the apple logo/restart. Pretty jarring. Tried deleting and reinstalling app to no avail. No customer support through app which is why Im leaving the poor review. Id hold off on spending $50 for a GPS app that no longer works. The app performed well for about a year before failing about two weeks ago. Im running ios7 on a 5s and have heard about difficulties running Navigon on ios9.

Works great for me on all versions of iOS inc 9

Not quite sure what everyones problem is with iOS 9 and this app. It has been running flawlessly for me across all versions of iOS and about four different iPhones from the iPhone 4 up till my latest 6S plus as well as my iPad. Never had a problem.

Best Offline Navigation

If you have data caps or are driving in Canada where roaming data charges can be enormous, this is the go to app although you’ll need the Fresh Maps option to get full US and Canada coverage. I drove through Alberta & British Columbia with no problems at all and the only thing I didn’t have was traffic since that would have eaten up data. In my home area, I have unlimited data and so I’m inclined to use more real-time nav apps such as Wave but still use Navigon when cell coverage is poor.

Great Navigation Application

Not worth the price; $10 more gets you all of US. Ive been using this application for quite some time and paid $30 for this region. In order to get fill USA they want me to pay $32 to upgrade which makes no sense considering the full USA if I purchased originally would have been $39.99. Look at the Tom Tom application; at least your maps get updated often. Navigon (Garmin) doesnt seem to crazy about helping its customer out or offering options to upgrade to the full USA. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

The best standalone navigation app

What I mean by this is it does not require a data connection/cellular service once the maps are loaded. Routing logic is superb and highly customizable and all done offline!

Dont want to pay for every year map updates

I pay for the app (expenssive) why i have to pay every year for maps update? Love the app, hate maps dont update for free. If you need god map for free use; SCOUT maps or WAZY,Are better(free). If you want to pay,buy SYGIC is cheaper, plus you can download the maps for off line use, + ,maps updates are free

Excellent GPS

Update...April 2016. I just purchased NA FreshMaps XL and am pleased with it all. I have been a Navigon user for about 5 years and believe it to be the best. The features that separate it from others are the maps being on-board, routing, mostly easy way to save favorites, graphic display and reliability. I have used other navigation apps but prefer Navigon each time. I used Navigon in Italy last year and it was flawless in every instance...tiny streets in Menaggio, along the autostrada, through and around Milan, the mountains of north...it was totally reliable. Others in our group used another product and had problems. One of which took them into Switzerland. Currently, the turn-by-turn is not working. I am confident it will be corrected soon. I continue to rate it highest of navigation apps. I am glad it is available. Update on 2.1- I had the same problems with all maps properly loading. I contacted Garmin and they quickly fixed the problem. I give them a lot of credit for being responsive and having an efficient customer service operation. Chris and Charles in their CS dept took care of the issue and were very good in followup. Those users that have this issue should simply call Garmin and connect with the operation that takes care of Navigon mobile issues. That action will solve the problem. (I dont know why people expect complex apps to be 100% failure proof. Yes, it can be frustrating, but it is part of life.). I do like 2.1. The biggest improvement to me is that it loads much faster...less than 10 secs, and generally about 6 secs. I also like street view options at the destination level. Navigon mobile continues to be the best navigation map in any platform. I give Garmin a lot of credit in that they have maintained that high quality and usefulness. Update on 2.0.1 - I have to hand it to Navigon. They listened and responded with a very quick 2.0.1 update and put iPod control back in and addressed the map update issue, too. That is why this remains the best GPS app available. 2.0 is a very nice upgrade. Ive been using navigon for about one year and am very happy with it. I can only compare it to a Nuvi and in that comparison it wins hands down. A couple of points about all the yelling about maps in most reviews. 1- free maps were never "promised." 2- maps were refreshed when I upgraded to 2.0 and therefore Im set for quite a while. Also, map management is much better now by loading and unloading maps as needed. The UI is improved and cleaner. Map scaling in and out is improved. There is no loss of favorites...just close it completely and when you reopen all favorites return. Sorting favorites is easy by using the edit button and then by dragging using the sort icon on the right of the favorite you want to move. I think a lot of complaints are from those that have not bothered to learn how navigon works. It takes a little time but it is worth it. For instance, using "traffic" and auto reroutimg around delays has saved me countless hours in and around NY, NJ, DC, Baltimore - it works very well. The block function is very handy for routing around delays and detours that navigon doesnt know about. POIs are pretty good once you know how they are set up. I use them regularly. The SOS buttons are very good. The one thing that can be improved is searching for an address. It is awkward. Finally, a gps is not the answer to every travel need you may encounter. You still need to know directions and N, S, E and W, and how to use a map. If you are traveling you also need a travel guide. But Navigon is a winner.

Why is the turn-by-turn not working

This app used to be my favorite, but lately it has not been great. The turn-by-turn does not work and has not worked in weeks. I thought it was just my phone so I deleted the app lost all of my addresses and the app still does not work.
